Welcome to our latest Creator Spotlight, a series dedicated to celebrating the voices shaping modern fan media and introducing supporters to the people behind and in front of the camera. Each feature takes a closer look at the passion, commitment and creativity that drives fan-led football content.
This week, we caught up with Harvey England a loyal Argyle fan who dedicates his channel producing content covering all things Plymouth Argyle. His channel focuses on bringing unbiased reviews covering home and away matches producing authentic vlogs capturing what it means to be a fan of the Green Army.
Here’s what he had to say…
1. What made you start creating football content?
Where I used to sit at the Lyndhurst stand at Argyle many people around me, including my grandad, couldn’t get to many games due to funds and because of disability’s making it hard to attend. So, I started to give all fans (mainly my team Plymouth argyle) a view of the game from wherever they are available to watch.
2. How long have you supported your club, and what’s your earliest or favourite memory of being a fan?
Since before I can remember! When I was a young lad I won tickets at my school afterschool football club for a match at home to Fleetwood town. I remember we won that game 2-1.
3. What do you enjoy most about making content for fellow fans?
I’ve always had a passion for football journalism but my favourite thing I would probably say is getting thanked by fans who which I started off vlogging.
4. If you could fix ONE thing about modern football, what would it be and why?
100% cutdown on players going down to cut up the momentum of the game.
5. Matchday routine — any superstitions?
Always got to have a pint when you get to the ground!
6. What’s the one thing fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I’m very sociably awkward surprisingly, I enjoy being a quiet guy!
7. Your club in ONE word — go.
HEADACHE!
8. What do you want fans to take away from watching your content?
An unbiased review!
