Creator Spotlight: Lee (Coventry City)
Today, we’re launching Creator Spotlight — a new Bootroom feature designed to introduce fans to the people behind the camera and celebrate the creators shaping modern fan media.
For our first spotlight, we caught up with Lee, a Coventry City supporter who has been documenting his matchday experiences for just over six months. Through honest, fan-led storytelling, Lee captures the emotion, atmosphere, and reality of following Coventry City — home and away.
Creator Spotlight is about more than content. It’s about recognising the passion, commitment, and creativity that goes into fan-led football media.
Here’s what Lee had to say…
1. What made you start creating football content?
I never intended to create any form of football content. I was simply enjoying the time spent with my son at the football. I started capturing a couple of goals and fan celebrations on my phone and it gain a lot of traction. So, I posted some more and the views kept coming in. So I thought what if I started documenting our match day experience… and millions of views later we are here. Still loving spending time with each other creating memories at the football and the mighty Sky blues, only now we have millions of people tuning in to watch us.
2. How long have you supported your club, and what’s your earliest or favourite memory of being a fan?
I have supported Coventry City my entire life. My step dad tried to get me to support Leeds United but thankfully I will forever be a Sky Blue. I remember being at Highfield Road as a kid, walking through those old turnstiles sitting behind a metal girder peering round to watch the game unfold. I loved going with my dad and I’m so thankful I get to take my son.
3. What do you enjoy most about making content for fellow fans?
I absolutely LOVE the fact I’m just me on camera. The content post and upload is me. Nothing fake nothing censored. Just me. The amount of people who come up to me in the middle of the street and tell me they love watching my content and sit as a family to watch my match days vlogs is extremely humbling. I appreciate every single person who watches, comments, likes and shares.
4. If you could fix ONE thing about modern football, what would it be and why?
Referees. Consistently, inconsistent. That being said. What’s football without a little controversy. Oh, and the amount of young lads who think looking for a scrap at the football is still cool. It’s not. Grow up!
5. Matchday routine — any superstitions?
Positivity! I’m not naive. I understand teams can play bad and they can loose. But you will NEVER hear me say my team will loose. Preach a positive outcome and it will manifest.
6. What’s the one thing fans would be surprised to learn about you?
I once won the best breakdance award at a school trip. You will NEVER see me breakdance again. Only the dad shuffle is on the cads these days.
7. Your club in ONE word — go.

8. What do you want fans to takeaway from watching your content?
I’m as genuine as they come. I swear, I drink I eat good food and I love spending these days with my son. I hope people can see this. I’m me, and I hope you can have a laugh with us throughout.
